Why vesting is so important

If your asset doesn’t meet the requirements agreed at technical approval it can’t be vested, which means that you’re responsible for operation and maintenance until it does.

This comes with significant risk, especially if the asset fails.  It can also be time consuming, costly and a drain on resources.

Plus, with outstanding reasonable cost contribution (RCC)  payments held up by unvested assets, the sooner we can help you get your water or waste water infrastructure handed over to Scottish Water, the better.
