These vouchers are your gateway to a comprehensive support package, specifically designed to accelerate innovation in water and waste water management.

Start your innovation journey with access to not just one, but two operational scale test facilities located near Edinburgh and Inverness. These facilities serve as invaluable resources, helping you to evaluate and enhance your innovation.

What’s included?

Our Innovation Voucher Scheme offers you a unique opportunity to access essential resources and support to trial at our Water and Waste Water Development Centres located in Bo’ness, Falkirk and Gorthleck, Scottish Highlands.

With vouchers covering half of your trial costs*, including bay rental, power usage and staffing, our aim is to help you develop pioneering ideas to advance water technology and sustainability.

How to apply

You can submit your application anytime by completing and submitting the online application form.

Once received, we will review your submission along with a technical specialist from Scottish Water. These reviews will typically take place at the end of each month.

Rest assured, we’ll promptly notify you of the outcome shortly thereafter.

The small print

• Applicants must not be receiving funding for a trial from any other source
• Applicants must be a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME); or work in academic institutions
• The proposed trial technology should be innovative in terms of technology, application or sector; or demonstrate an improvement to a current process or technology
• If successful, the applicant will be given a quote for the trial with the 50% applied to the total price
• Once the trial is agreed, the usual Terms and Conditions for use of the Development Centre will apply
• Additional conditions may be required, and will be discussed before any trial begins e.g. non- disclosure agreements, promotional activity, and site visits.
• The Innovation Voucher Scheme will run for a limited time only
