Funding on the Horizon for
Cumbernauld Community Event

Scottish Water Horizons has gifted £1,000 to Cumbernauld Community Forum for their forthcoming Gala Day.

Waste Services Planner Kyle Mathieson presented the donation to forum members alongside this year’s Gala Queen and Princesses on a recent visit to St Maurice’s High School. 

This year’s annual community event takes place on Saturday 15 June and the additional funds will go a long way towards making the day lots of fun for all the family.

Kyle, who is based at our food waste recycling facility in Cumbernauld’s Westfield estate, said of the donation:  “Communities play a huge part in helping Scotland flourish.

“We’re delighted to give back to our own local community by supporting the Cumbernauld Community Forum Gala Day and we wish the organisers every success with this year’s event.”
